Our Mission

At Pucallpa Moving Boundaries, our mission is to support underprivileged primary school students in Pucallpa, Peru. We believe that education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty and creating a brighter future for these children. Through our various programs and initiatives, we aim to provide access to quality education, resources, and opportunities for these students. Together, we can make a difference and empower the next generation.

Why Support

Hi! My name is Arianna LeWand and I am a student at Colorado Academy in Denver, Colorado. I come from a family with both Peruvian and American roots, and my connection to Peru has always been a central part of who I am. As I've grown older, my appreciation for the language, culture, food, and people has only deepened. I speak Spanish, and one of my greatest joys is visiting Peru — a diverse, vibrant country full of warmth and potential.

In 2016, for the first time, I visited Pucallpa, Peru, where I have relatives, and I have very much enjoyed my return trips. I've witnessed firsthand how many families lack access to resources that those of us in the United States often take for granted — including the basic supplies and support needed for a quality education.

My commitment to educational equity extends beyond Peru. Since 2019, I have supported the Center for Hope School in Nairobi, Kenya through student sponsorship. I was fortunate to visit the school in Kibera — recognized as the largest slum in Africa — and the experience was profoundly moving. Seeing how much a small amount of support can change a student's trajectory reinforced my belief that education is one of the most powerful tools we possess. This has been important to me and my family.

That conviction brought me back to Pucallpa and inspired me to support the Tlipolito Unamle School as well as the Institucion Educativa No 64055 La Victoria School. Funds raised go directly toward essential school supplies — pens, paper, books, uniforms, and other basic necessities that many students there cannot access on their own.

Any donation, large or small, can make a real and lasting difference. Thank you so much for considering supporting this cause.

As wisely stated by Nelson Mandela, "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world."

Resources Donated!

Thank you to all who have donated and for continued support! Pucallpa education has been enhanced through the most recent donations, this time to Tlipolito Unamle School in December 2025. The provision of needed supplies enabled by the generosity of our contributors is having great impact! Below are photos and a video of me speaking to the students and faculty in Pucallpa.

I am extremely grateful to those that have supported this important endeavor and welcome further donations as the work of helping the school continues. This is truly a great cause impacting many young lives. With sincere appreciation!

Translation to English:

Hello, I am Arianna. I grew up in the United States. I am 16 years old and I am very excited to be with all of you today. I am working on a project to assist in Pucallpa as my mom has a lot of family here and I grew up coming to Pucallpa and it has been one of my favorite places in Peru. I am not doing just one event, I am expanding this into a larger project that focuses on bringing school notebooks, backpacks and other school materials before the start of the next school year. Thank you so much for coming and Merry Christmas!
